Wedding Open Weekend

Whether you’ve recently become engaged, are already planning your wedding or simply want to explore your options, join us for our Wedding Open Weekend at The Angel.

Working with Secret Garden Wedding & Event Services, we’ll be showcasing a selection of inspiring wedding setups featuring different colour schemes, table layouts, décor ideas and options for a variety of budgets.

You’ll be able to view our Banking Hall, discover the Gin Room set for an intimate wedding ceremony, take a look around one of our Bridal Suites and explore one of our Cottages.

Our wedding team will also be available to talk through your ideas, show you live diary availability and discuss the different ways we can create your celebration at The Angel. Plus, visitors across the weekend can take advantage of exclusive wedding offers and deals.

Oktoberfest

SATURDAY 17th OCTOBER

Join the Celebration

The doors open at 7:00pm, so arrive early to soak up the atmosphere, grab a drink and settle in before the entertainment begins. The festivities will continue until around 11:00pm, giving you a full evening of Bavarian fun, live music and great company.

For the ultimate Oktoberfest experience, a limited number of Premium Tickets are available, offering reserved seating close to the stage and right at the heart of the action.

Garden Marquee

Our spacious Garden Marquee is the perfect setting for an unforgettable Oktoberfest. Covered and weatherproof, it provides plenty of room to eat, drink, sing and dance the night away, whatever the weather.

Bavarian Banquet

Every ticket includes a delicious Bavarian Banquet, featuring Slow-Cooked Pork Shoulder with Beer & Caraway, served in a Pretzel Bun with Rotkohl, plus a selection of traditional German snacks on arrival to get the celebrations started.

Drinks

No Oktoberfest would be complete without fantastic beer! The Angel Garden Bar will be open throughout the evening, serving a great selection of beers alongside wines, spirits and soft drinks. Don’t miss our famous four-pint beer jugs – they’re always a crowd favourite!

Live Music & Entertainment

The entertainment begins at 7:00pm with Luke Broughman, setting the mood for an incredible evening.

At 8:00pm, The Oompapas take to the stage to bring the true spirit of Oktoberfest to The Angel. Expect lively games, fun competitions, audience participation, action songs and sing-alongs to feel-good favourites including 500 Miles, YMCA and Sweet Caroline. Be prepared to sing, laugh and join in!

Fancy Dress

Fancy dress is completely optional, but it’s all part of the fun! Whether you arrive in full lederhosen or a traditional dirndl, or simply come along in your favourite outfit, you’ll be very welcome. If you’re looking for inspiration, a quick search for “Oktoberfest dress up” will give you plenty of ideas.

All tickets include your Bavarian Banquet and reserved seating, so you can relax and enjoy the evening from start to finish.

Bonfire Night

SATURDAY 31ST OCTOBER

Featuring live music, fire shows, bonfire lighting, fairground rides, and, of course, the all-important fireworks!

Breathtaking fire shows and stunt performances will take place throughout. Plus, we’ll have children’s fairground rides and plenty of food and drink stalls to indulge in.

Christmas & New Year's Eve

Celebrate the festive season at The Angel with everything from festive lunches and dinners to Christmas Day dining, private celebrations and seasonal stays. Then see out 2026 in style with New Year’s Eve dinner, followed by drinks in the bar and Whisky Lounge as we prepare to welcome in the New Year.
